The Youth Dialogue Forum organized a dialogue session titled: “Between Empowerment and Influence: Where Do Women Stand in Political Decision-Making?”, bringing together a group of prominent women leaders, female members of municipal councils, and participants in the Structured Dialogue.
The discussion went beyond reviewing the current state of women’s political participation, focusing on assessing the outcomes of the Structured Dialogue and the extent to which they respond to women’s political priorities.
Through this initiative, the Forum reaffirms that dialogue is not an end in itself, but a tool for assessing outcomes and developing practical and impactful recommendations that can move women’s participation from mere presence to genuine partnership in decision-making and in shaping Libya’s political process.
This initiative reflects the Youth Dialogue Forum’s responsibility within the political process and its support for the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) in fulfilling its essential role in advancing the political process, guided by a distinctly Libyan vision.
